Are you looking for a small gift for someone or something special to enhance your own home decor?  We have a wide range coming to you directly from the artists.  We feature raku and pit fired pottery, paintings, woodcut and linocut prints, home spun wool and knitwear, copper-art, mixed media, Art glass, kiwiana, garden art, quirky teapots etc.

Outrageous is a gallery/gift shop with an adjacent workshop set up by Tony and Christine to display Tony's work. We have welcomed on board other local artists to extend our range of products and art genres. Our aim is to provide a place where you can purchase a small gift or a special piece to adorn your own home or garden.

Tony is an on-site working potter and you can view the art or just watch him work for a while.

About Us

I am a local potter and for the past ten years I have been creating works and focusing on garden art festivals. Becoming aware that the public are getting tired of mass produced imports I decided to convert my garage into a gallery/gift shop and workshop space. To broaden the experience for the public I have welcomed other local artists to join me with a view to having a wide range of locally made art and craft.

If you are wondering why we called ourselves 'Outrageous' it is the name of the colour of Resene's paint we used on the front of the gallery.

Our son designed our logo - Eric the Outrageous Elephant.
